We're back with week two of our Galatians study, Be Free, with The Church of Eleven22. We hope you were challenged and have started your journey to true freedom. This week, Pastor Joby Martin, jumps in to Galatians, chapter 1, verses 6-9. Pastor Joby, hits the point, "It is not enough to believe that the gospel is true; it must be received. Have you RECEIVED the gospel?"
Below is Pastor Joby. After the video, take a few minutes to consider the question and Action Step for this week.
Sermon Text: Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9–10 and 13;
1 Corinthians 15:1-7; Galatians 1:6-9, 2:21. Questions to consider
Be sure to visit back as we share week one's episode of Deepen: with Pastor Joby Martin.

On Sunday, April 7th, 2024, our church, The Church of Eleven22, in Jacksonville, Florida, started a new series called, Galatians: BE FREE. Slated to be a 14 week study through the book of Galatians, Pastor Adam Flynt, kicked off the series by asking the question, "Do You Want To Be Free?"
But what does that mean...to be free? Free from what? Or who? Simply put, these series would be focused on what it means to walk in the full freedom only Jesus can give. So what does that look like. Watch this short video below.
So here's the deal...we love our church. It has been a long time since we've been challenged to hear, think and respond to God's word as we are now. We look forward to gathering in person and virtually with our church family to worship and hear from God's word. And every week, we are reminded of our need for the gospel as we discover and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.
This study through Galatians has been incredible. Each week we are challenged to dig a little deeper and step into the freedom that God continues to show us through His grace. This isn't the first time we've shared a sermon from The Church of Eleven22. And I want to be careful in that, we aren't just posting to create content. We want to share the Be Free series because, we believe it's a message that we all need to hear. Our goal for this website/blog (and even our vlog), is to share our story of faith and family: to encourage families. It's the adventure of raising kids, the journey of marriage, and the hope that we have in Jesus. As we parent, in our careers, through our ministry, we hope that families are strengthened. Whether celebrating joys, or navigating difficult times, we want to point our readers and subscribers to Jesus. We know live is hard. Too often we carry the baggage of our mistakes. We wrestle with shame, guilt, regret and disappointment. We look in the mirror and we don't like what we see. But it doesn't have to be that way. There is freedom from the shame, the guilt, the regret. Our past doesn't have to define us. We can know and experience the freedom the Jesus died to give us. Over the next couple of days/weeks, we want to share the Be Free series with you. Along with our regular posts about Life in the Higham House and our homesteading projects, we want to share what we're learning by posting the weekly messages and resources. Our hope is to help you discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. How will this look? Starting today we will share a video of the weekly message, along with scripture and questions to help you learn and grow. We will also post episodes of the video podcast from Eleven22, called, DEEPEN: with Joby Martin. The podcast dives deeper into the scriptures as Pastor Joby and his guests discuss in detail the weekly message. All of these resources are made available to the public so that all might have the opportunity discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus. Take some time to watch the video message. Then tackle the questions provided. Sermon Text: Luke 4:18; John 8:32, 36; Acts 8:3, 9:1, 3-6, 13:39; 22:3-4; Romans 6:6-7, 18, 22, 8:2, 21; 1 Corinthians 9:1, 14:37-38, 15:8-10; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 1:1-4, 11-24; Philippians 3:4- 5; Revelation 1:5 questions to consider...

It's been a busy couple of weeks around the Higham house. With the arrival of Spring came Lacrosse and Track season, gardening season, and the start of Jay's new ministry job. We've been traveling, attending meets and games, and trying to juggle ministry and our jobs all at the same time. But through it all, we are grateful for all of God goodness.
Let's talk Lacrosse first. Asher's senior year of Lacrosse wrapped up with a North Regional Championship. Asher played mid-field and attack and averaged about 3 points per game. With the season now over, we're in the final stretch of his senior year. In just a couple of weeks, we'll celebrate his graduation; the closing of another chapter in the Higham story.
Breya had another great season of track. She focused on long jump and shot put, increasing her distances in both. Her attention is now focused on the final days of her freshman year. Crazy to think we are at the end of the school year already.
Amy has been busy with Capernaum and year end activity planning for the ministry. It has been such an incredible year with our Capernaum friends. We have welcomed new students, buddies, and leaders this year. Next week, YoungLife will host their spring fund raiser, The Amazing Raise. Be sure to watch Facebook for details and ways you can help support Amy's ministry.
Amy has also started subbing within the school system; working in special ed. classrooms. This is a great way to meet new students in the community.
In April, Jay accepted a new ministry role with National Network of Youth Ministries (NNYM), an organization that helps to connect youth leaders with other youth leaders in networks for encouragement, training, and spiritual growth. You can learn more about his new role here: www.JayHigham.com.
We are so grateful for you, your support and your readership. It always makes us smile when we hear from you, so leave a comment here on our social media.
