![]() What causes a church to grow? Why are some churches super successful, while others are left to close their doors? Is it the programing? The leadership? The location? The band?
Is there a formula? A model? A method? A strategy? What about influence? Does what works for one church work for every church? How about HOW the church ministers? Are there certain programs that work better than others? As a young church planter, I have read dozens of books that discuss strategy, purpose, visioning, methodology, theory, and discipline. I have read books that say you should go big, dream large, the sky's the limit. Then I've read the books that say go small, keep it simple, do less so you can do more. So who's rights? Who wrong? What works? And what doesn't work? ![]() As the year presses on, we have been looking at what growth looks like in the church. We want to grow. We want to see people come to our. And we want to see people grow in their faith. But how do we accomplish this? What should it look like? What do we need to do? What is our role in light of God's role. We can pray for growth. We've been praying for 2 years? Is praying enough? Should we be doing more? If yes, what is the more?
This page is part of our process of growth. As I work to understand how growth happens, I will post and share the findings, experiences, and adventure of the growth journey. I invite you to join me in this venture and discover with me how the church grows and how who really sits at the heart of growth. |
