Alright husbands and wives, this one is for you. Check out this video, then I’ll be back. I know it was only a short clip, but the Weekend to Remember is a weekend that you will not want to miss. Packed with so much helpful, practical, and needed content, the WTR is an awesome opportunity for you and your spouse to getaway and reconnect with one another and with God!
Stretched over the three day weekend, the getaway kicks off Friday night with the opportunity to reconnect with God, as you dig into scripture to rediscover God’s love for you and His plan for marriage. Saturday focuses on building up your marriage, covering important topics such as communication, finances, family, life, and oneness; you know, the marriage killers. Saturday night is date night and the chance to reconnect with your spouse. It’s a great time to talk about some of the things you have been learning. Then, back to the hotel room for a little…RECONNECTING!! (Wink, wink.) Sunday morning wraps up with the completion of the materials and a challenge for you and your spouse to recommit to the gift of your marriage! It really is an incredible weekend created to help you strengthen and build your marriage into the marriage that God intended! Amy and I went to the WTR last fall, and while we feel like we have a pretty good marriage, it was still a great opportunity to be reminded of some important practices that help to keep our marriage strong. It was also a great weekend to be away from the kids and just focus on each other. Almost a full year later and we still find ourselves thinking back to that weekend and how good it was for us. Our plans are to return this fall to the WTR. In our area, (Pittsburg and Western PA) there are two WTR; one in Cranberry and one in Monroeville. (Click on the area names for info for that conference.) Don’t live in the Pittsburgh area, no worries! Click on this LOCATION link, and you will be taken to the office location page to find the next WTR happening in your area. Do the Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaway! - jay
