Hello Readers!
I want to thank all of you who have followed, The Good Husband Blog (TGHB), this past year. I really appreciate support and your readership! I started TGHB to document my adventure of being a husband. I have an amazing wife. Seriously, she's awesome! And because she is so awesome, I want to be the best husband possible. TGHB has become the place where I share this amazing journey. But a couple of weeks ago, my awesome wife proved just how awesome she really is. During a difficult time, she became a rock. Her love, unquestionable. Her support, unwavering. Her marriage, stronger then ever. AND, it still getting better. So here's what's about to happen. I have decided to expand my website to focus on four things. The first is issues of faith. As a pastor, I want to continue to teach and share God's Word through weekly video posts, articles, and eventually a vlog series. The second area of interest is youth ministry. After 20+ years of working with students, I still love it. While my primary focus at the church is as the lead pastor, I still have a huge heart for students and and for the training up of new youth workers. The third topic that will be discussed is that of family. With five busy kids, life can be insane! Lately, I have been inspired by some of the online families who share their every day experiences with the world. From Tim & Dana Schmoyer to the Shaytard's to the Catalan's, I love that these families do live and share it. Now I'm not saying the Higham's are starting a family vlog, I do hope to try to share be about life in the Higham house. The fourth area of focus is the strengthening of marriages. My wife and I have started the research for an exciting new book that we will write together. The emphasis of the book is how to enrich the intimacy of marriage. The Good Husband Blog will be part of this new project. Thus, I am moving The Good Husband Blog to my home site, www.JayHigham.com. The plan is to post a new article every week around Wednesday. My hope is that you will join us there, and share in the discussion. Along with the blog posts, there will also be resources available, such as my favorite books, links to other websites and blogs, and a place when you can get ideas for how to love your wife better. All in all, I'm excited about what's coming, so stay tuned! - jay
