I just remembered this post sitting in my drafts folder. I had wanted to write about the Steven Curtis Chapman, The Glorious Unfolding Tour, that Amy and I went to last week. But, it was very late and decided I would come back and finish it. So let me come back now and finish the post. First, the concert was AMAZING. Probably one of the best concerts I've been to in a long time. I was totally blown away by the entire show. There was a great mix of Steven, Josh, and The Afters as they performed together and separately. I don't want to get into playlists because that would just take up too much time. But it was great that Steven sang a fair bit of old favorites as well as some of his newer songs. And of course, Steven shared an update from the Chapman family, which is something that Amy always looks forward to. The second thing I thought was awesome was the presentation of Show HOPE, the foundation that the Chapman's started to care for and support orphans and adoption. I already shared about Show HOPE and the amazing thing about adoption in a blog that went live last week. (Show HOPE.) The concert was a gift for my amazing wife, Amy, for her birthday. The concert meant a night out for just she and I. No kids. No dishes. No cooking. No work. Just us, and Steven Curtis Chapman. It ended up being an incredible night. It was so good to simply be together. And to spend it listening to one of our favorite Christian artists, singing some of our most favorite songs was beyond special! It was truly and unforgettable night. The Glorious Unfolding Tour is now over. As it turned out, the concert we attended was the third to last of the tour. If you had the opportunity to attend the tour, you know how awesome it was. If you missed it, sorry, but you missed it. - jay PS - Was this post helpful, insightful, encouraging, or thought provoking? Great! I'd love to hear from you!
