Two years ago, Jay, received a phone call. Timotheus Pope, our dear friend, was scheduled to speak at our local high school's Baccalaureate Service. Timotheus said, he was on his way, but his son Judah was being taken to the Emergency Room. A couple hours later, Jay and Amy were sitting with Timotheus, Kendra, and little Judah, in the emergency room of Children's Hospital Pittsburgh. That night changed the lives of the Pope's in a dramatic way. Kendra Pope shares the heartbreaking story of Judah Pope, and how God has continually shown up in the midst of tragedy to offer a reminder of hope, love, and faith.
Many of you have joined us as we have prayed for Judah. Now two years of passed, and while Judah is often in our prayers and on our hearts, life goes on, even for the Pope's. Timotheus and Kendra continue to faithfully serve, trusting that God is still at work in their family. They live with the daily reminder that God's plan for them is good. Even in the midst of suffering, there is hope; there is God. Their testimony of faith is one that encourages us to look towards no other but the one true God who saves. God's plan is good and perfect. The question we all must answer is this, will we still follow him. In the midst of heartbreak. In the midst of trauma. In the midst of brokenness. In the midst of pain, confusion, loss, fear, and the unknown. Will we follow him? Amy recently visited with the Pope's. They are doing well, though they have their moments. Who wouldn't? The Pope's demonstrate with faith looks like in the midst of a life changing event. Join us as we lift up Judah, Kendra, Timotheus, and their family in prayer. And, may their story encourage you and your story. Watch the video below. - the higham family
