It was a Busy Weekend!

The Higham's packed the weekend with a ton of stuff! And the best part...all 7 of were together on Saturday!

So here's the deal...

One of the things we are having to deal with due to the move is the lack of internet. When we called to have our services switched, we were told that internet would most likely come from a different provider. When I contacted that provider, I was told installation would happen until October 09, 2015!! I was shocked! So for the last 3 weeks we have been without internet at the house. So uploading video and post blogs has been a bit challenging!

All of that is to say, that is why we've have not yet posted a full week just yet. So since we missed last Friday's blog post, we decided to make a slightly longer weekend video. (By slightly longer we mean 28 minutes and some change.)

As much as we want to post a new vlog video every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and new blog posts every Tuesday and Thursday, it's going to take a few more weeks before we're back to regular postings. But here's our promise, we are going to do the best we can to post as much as we can when we can.

So thank you for your patience. And thank you for watching and reading, we really appreciate it!

Now before you click on the weekend vlog, let me give you a quick run down...

Thursday evening Amy and I went to the elementary school for home house. Friday, I spent the better part of the day at a Presbytery meeting, thus no vlog. Saturday, all 7 Higham's were in the house, and with homecoming only a week a way, we used the morning hours to do a little shopping! Saturday night host the rare Saturday football game for the high school. So off we went to cheer on Logan and the team, who won! We talk about it a bit at the end of the vlog. Sunday started with worship at church, then lunch with some new friends, and hanging of the new blinds before catching some football on TV.

Yes, it was a busy weekend, but we accomplished a lot, and that makes it good.

But, I think the best think about the weekend was that we were able to spend most of it together. It's sometimes a little tricky to keep everyone under roof for longer than a couple of hours. The older boys schedules are giving way to more hours at work, while still juggling the after school sports. And with me now having youth group on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the weekends are sweet times of potential togetherness.

We hope you and your family had a great weekend as well!! We'd love to hear what you did! So please post a comment below, and share!

Thanks for taking the time to read the blog! Please take a few minutes to watch the vlog. Remember, it's about 28 minutes long, but you're going to want to watch it all the way through! There's some good stuff towards the end that we hope makes you laugh!

Have a great week!

Hi we're Jay & Amy, and we've been married for 19 years and are super blessed to be busy raising our 5 kids; 4 boys and 1 girl. We juggle the adventures of life and ministry and share what we are learning as it relates to marriage, family, raising kids, serving in the church, and chasing after Jesus. Raising a family is hard work, especially in today's culture. But our hope is to encourage you and your family, as we live for the glory of God.
