What can God do? Can He take a broken life and make it new again? Yes He can! Something amazing happens when we put our faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior; we get Turnt. Watch this video from artist, Lecrae. In the BIble, 2 Corinthians 5, verses 16 through21 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 2:16-21, niv.) I love those verses. What better way to remind us of what He has done for us then to note that we are being made new? The Apostle Paul, author of the book of 2 Corinthians, tells his readers that through Jesus, we are being reconciled to God. That even though we are sinners, broken, abused, mistreated, He is doing a work within us to make us all brand knew. Lecrae, Christian Rapper & speaker has put out another incredible song, Turnt. For me, the video helps to bring out that reminder that we are being made new, and the person you see in the mirror is not the person you were 20 years ago. Turnt, is just that, being made new. But wait, there's more. Not only is Turnt a great song, but it shares the reality that God has and is changing us. In sin, we are hopeless, life is but a flicker. But it's right there in that moment that you see the hand of God reach down from heaven. Be changed. Get Turnt. - jay PS - Was this post helpful, insightful, encouraging, or thought provoking? Great!
