We love celebrating Easter. We believe in Jesus. We believe that Easter marks one of the greatest events for mankind, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That means we have forgiveness of sins and a new life through Christ! We think that is something worth celebrating. So like many others, we started our day in church. After church, we enjoyed the day as a family.
One of our favorite Easter activities is to have the kids do an egg hunt! Every year, Grandmom and Grandpop Higham, mail out a box full of plastic eggs loaded with candy and cash! On Easter Sunday, we find the eggs for the kids. Each kid has a dedicated egg color they have to find. It's so much fun watching the kids run around the yard looking for their eggs. When they find all the eggs outside, we move indoors for our hardboiled egg hunt. We take the the eggs that the kids color, and hide them throughout the house. Usually we limit the hunt to the living room. But this year we expanded to include a few more spaces around the house. The trick to remember when hiding hardboiled eggs is not forgetting where you hid them. After the hunts, we enjoyed a great meal at one of our favorite restaurants, before visiting some friends from church for desserts. By the time the day came to an end, we started realizing that this might be one of our last Easters with all five kids. As our oldest begins looking towards his own independence, we know that holidays with all five kids is something that we might not be able to share in the very near future. That makes this Easter something special. We are so glad that we were able to capture the part of our day on video. These memories are the memories that we will treasure for years to come! So enjoy the vlog!
