Would you ever live in a house shaped like a shoe?
Sounds a little like a nursery rhythm, doesn't it? But it's real! A house in the shape of a shoe!
In York, Pennsylvania, a man named, Mahlon Haines, wanted a house like no other. He went to an architect and said, "Build me a house that looks like this." and he handed him a work boot. The result, The Haines Shoe House!
Yes, it really is a house that looks like a shoe! Since we were in the area, we decided to make a stop and visit this amazing roadside attraction!
We're not going to tell you the entire shoe house story. Instead, we want to encourage you and your family to go and visit the Haines Shoe House! Open Wednesday through Sunday, The Haines House offers tours, a gift shop, and an ice cream cafe. Super affordable and a lot of fun, The Haines Shoe House is a great place to visit as a family.
Here is some important information about the Haines Shoe House,
