![]() We are so excited to introduce the new HighamFamily eLetter! Starting August 14, 2015, we will begin publishing a weekly email newletter for all our readers. The newsletter will do a few things. 1. Recap the week on the blog... Instead of the Weekly Rewind that we post on Friday's, the newsletter will have a complete list of that weeks blog posts with a short summary of the post. This way, if your week was bit busy and you missed a day or too, you can quickly catch up. 2. Posts from around the Blog-O'sphere... We have been tracking down other bloggers who share about their families and the things they are learning or experiencing. Our goal is to perhaps build a small "family blog" network. At the very least we want to know who else out there shares our love for family. When we come across an article or post that we aboslutely love, we will share with you! 3. The NEW Higham Family Vlog... We have been talking and praying about doing a family vlog for some time. If you don't know what a vlog just imagine real-life reality TV. We have been thinking about creating a vlog to go along with the website and blog, more of a 'let's share our lives through video' kind of thing. Well, thanks to some encouragement from a friend, we are taking the jump to begin our vlogging journey. You can watch our first vlog by clicking here! The newsletter will share the latest updates from our vlogging expereinces! 4. The Family Vlog... The second video project we are launching this summer is, The Family Vlog. This project is different from the first in that this is not a vlog about our family. This is a new channel that will host a weekly video where we, Jay and Amy, discuss a family related topic, answer questions, and welcome various guests who have helped to shape our family through the years. Episode 101, has already been published. We will have the next episode ready to go soon. You can read more about The Family Vlog by clicking here. 5. Practical help for families... Our goal for the website, blog, vlog, and everything else we do is to encourage the family! We are passionate about seeing the family thrive. So along with our experiences and lessons learned, we want to share resources and materials that have either helped us, impacted our family, or have proven to execellent tools for the family. As much as we can, we will share these treasures with you. 6. The family update. Finally, because we want to know you and for you to know us, we will include a simple and short family update with who's doing what and how life looks in the Higham house. We will not publish our first full newsletter until August 14th. Why? Because, right now we have no one to send a newsletter to! So for the next couple of weeks we will be promoting and asking readers like you to subscribe to the newsletter! Then on every Friday, starting August 14th, we will send out that weeks email with the newsletter. We are super excited about what God is doing as we move forward with each of these little projects. We love our family and we love how God has blessed us, so to be able to share some of what God has taught and is teaching, is really humbling, but exciting. So thank you so much for taking the time to read and follow the Higham Family. We truly hope and pray that God will minister to you and your family by what He is doing in us! Please be sure to connect with us! We juggle the adventures of life and ministry and share what we are learning as it relates to marriage, family, raising kids, serving in the church, and chasing after Jesus. Raising a family is hard work, especially in today's culture. But our hope is to encourage you and your family, as we live for the glory of God.
