Jay's Daily Vlog

Picture
The daily vlog. It started sometime around 2010, a video journal of whoever was sharing. Similar to the blog, vlogging became a new and engaging way of sharing our experiences, journeys, adventures, and life with other people. It's also become a great way to document your personal journey. We start vlogging as a family in 2015 just to capture and save parts of our family story. And boy, are we glad we did.

But this year I want to try something new. Since our family is grown, there's not much to record and share. However, I think sharing ones story is still a great way to leave an impact on those around you. Social media has made it possible to reach out and connect with literally thousands of people all around the world. But it doesn't take you long to discover that social media can also be dangerous. There are all sorts of messages, ideas, opinions, and agendas out there.
Here's my hope. I want to bring hope and encouragement. Who am I? Nobody, really. Just a guy, a husband, a father, a youth pastor, a Jesus follower, someone who wants to offer you something more. So, in 2026, I am setting out to share a daily vlog. 3 minutes of whatever is happening that day, whatever comes to mind, whatever is on my heart, whatever God moves me to share and say. I hope it's something thought provoking, something inspiring, something encouraging, something that might brighten your day, bring you hope, and help you to see the possibilities around you.

I'm excited to do this, to share a piece of my life and what God is doing in me this year. I hope you will join me. It should be fun.
So how does one follow along with the daily vlog? Great question. First, the original vlog will post to YouTube. You can follow the Daily Vlog Playlist here: Jay's Daily Vlog. Each day that vlog post will appear in the window to the right so you can watch it from this page.

There might be times when I want to share a little more than a 3 minute video. When that happens, you will find the vlog and corresponding blog post here on our family blog. I will try to make sure that there is always a link in the video description as well as a link of some sort in the section below. And, you can always just take a look at our blog and visit the category list for Jay's Daily Vlogs.
