How to Talk with Your Kids About Sex
It might be one of the most difficult conversations you will have with your kids, the dreaded SEX TALK! From puberty to dating to sexual intercourse, many of us break into a cold sweat when we think about have this very personal, very intimate, very scary chat with our kids. But it is super important that you are the one shaping your kids view of sex, dating, identity, and habits. Because if you don't the culture will.
We take a very Biblical, very up-front approach when we deal with our kids regarding the topic of sex. Our philosophy is to be open and as honest as possible, while making it an on-going convesation instead of a 'once and done' talk. On this page we have shared some of our favorite resources; books that we have found super helpful, links to blogs that we have written, links to blogs that others have written, and a link to our vlogs that discuss the topic. We have 5 kids; 4 boys and 1 girl. And with each one we learn a little more about how to best engage our kids. So be sure to check back frequently as we will work to bring you all that we are learning. |
